Jacques Adnet (1900-1984) was a prominent French designer and architect known for his modernist approach and innovative use of materials. A leading figure in the Art Deco movement, Adnet is particularly celebrated for his luxurious leather-covered furniture. His designs are characterised by their clean lines, functional elegance, and meticulous craftsmanship.

Adnet often combined leather with metal and glass, creating timeless pieces that exude sophistication and durability. As the director of the prestigious Compagnie des Arts Français from 1928 to 1959, Adnet’s influence extended across the design world, leaving a lasting legacy in 20th-century furniture design.
