Gabriella Crespi, il segno e lo spirito: mobili, plurimi, sculture e gioielli, exh. cat., Palazzo Reale, Milan, 2011, p. 66

Celebrated Italian glamazon, “the Greta Garbo of Milan,” whose famous ‘Rising Sun’ collection, coveted ‘Z’ desks and ‘Heron’ sculptures amongst others, sealed her place in the 70’s spotlight as a highly decorative and relevant talent.
One of the few stand-out female designers at the time, she succinctly and beautifully captured the spirit of the decade, when Hollywood chic met disco-de-vivre, through her deeply personal works, attracting high profile commissions around the world.
