Celebrated Italian glamazon, “the Greta Garbo of Milan,” whose famous ‘Rising Sun’ collection, coveted ‘Z’ desks and ‘Heron’ sculptures amongst others, sealed her place in the 70’s spotlight as a highly decorative and relevant talent.
One of the few stand-out female designers at the time, she succinctly and beautifully captured the spirit of the decade, when Hollywood chic met disco-de-vivre, through her deeply personal works, attracting high profile commissions around the world.
After a self-imposed spiritualist exile, the 93 year old is back, to the delight of the design and fashion industries alike, and showed versions of her famous designs in bronze in Milan, Spring 2015 whilst her esteemed ‘Puzzle Table’ has become the focus of a new collaboration with the Italian glass artist Franco Deboni.
